Simply Crudelicious is a sweet and savoury place dedicated to healthy and delicious plant-based, fruit filled raw vegan eating. My favourite place where I share my love for healthy and happy living.
All of the recipes you will find here are low fat, plant based, fruit filled, easy to make, made from seasonal, whole, ripe, raw, unrefined, organic (whenever possible), easy to find ingredients. I will focus on simple weekday recipes that can be made in 30 mins or less but for fun and more decadency some of them will require dehydration. If you don’t own a dehydrator do not worry, I’ll give you different options so we all are happy.
In May 2010, I graciosuly stumbled upon healthy raw vegan food and lifestyle. I found in it the answer I incessantly was looking for to overcome my health issues and since then I have never looked back.
After years of suffering from eating disorders I now can happily say that following this diet and lifestyle along with working in other aspects of my health helped me regained, have and enjoy a more loving relationship with myself and my food and to me that is the sweetest heavens’ gift I’ve could ever possibly had.
Spanish is my mother language, I’m from the sunny city of Caracas (Venezuela) but I live since 2013 in Montréal, Canada. English, spanish and french languages are part of my daily life and help me connect with amazing people every single day.
The word CRU means RAW in french and they are also the starting letters of the word CRUDO in spanish which also means RAW.
I believe eating a plant-based, fruit filled, low fat raw vegan diet it is indeed abosolutely simply delicious and I wanted to share it with you.
In 2015 I attended different raw vegan retreats and raw vegan festivals, working/exchanging in the kitchen of some of these amazing events, looking to continually grow, improve and expand into this lifestyle, ignited a passion from within me.
I developed a deep love for recipe creation and experimentation. I found myself creatively thinking about how could I possibly re-create everyday food faves with a raw vegan twist, in my attempt to bring more healthy and delicious treats to people starting into this lifestyle or just simply curious or wanting to get and have more healthy options at hand.
Friends and family relatives also encouraged me asking me about everyday healthy raw / vegan recipes, this is how Simply Crudelicious, wonderfully came about to be.
IT’S EASY TO EAT RAW
I eat a plant-based, fruit filled diet composed of raw fruits and tender, leafy greens. I tend to eat one/ two simple meals of fruit during the day, and a large, simple salad of greens and savory fruit at night. I find joy and pleasure eating simple RAW VEGAN meals that are simply nourishing, healthy and delicious not just for the body but for the mind and soul too.
Through the recipes here, it is my intention to show you that eating healthy it is indeed possible and attainable, it is absolutely delicious and it doesn’t need to be complicated, at all! Whatever your food philosophy or diet is, I welcome and invite you to try these recipes.

Alejandra is the sweet smiling soul behind Simply Crudelicious she is the recipe developer, content creator, food photographer and food stylist “in the making” behind Simply crudelicious. When she is not busy blogging she loves to be in nature, practice ashtanga yoga, meditate, jump or handstand. She is a fitness lover and enthusiast looking to add acro yoga and circus disciplines to her repertoire.
