I eat and enjoy fresh, ripe, raw, vegan, organic (whenever possible) fruits, veggies, mild leafy greens, herbs, nuts and seeds all in their natural state (never cooked) because I believe in the power of raw living foods, I love nourishing my body with food that is wholesome, plant based, fruit filled… that has their nutrients intact and makes me feel good and vibrant from the inside out!.
Following with my series of raw, vegan, nut milks I wanted to make and share this healthier, rich, flavorful homemade version of popular Coconut Milk you find at most health food stores or not so healthy how-tos homemade coconut milk recipes on the net to show you how simple, quick and easy it actually is to make it yourself, that way you can control and know first hand what exactly you are feeding your body with! So important my sweet friend!.
I grew up eating coconuts and drinking fresh, refreshing coconut water specially on my trips to the beaches of sunny Venezuela where Coconut palm trees are named “The trees of life”, how awesome!. They are indeed full of life and give it graciously back to you through its miraculous fruits. Coconuts are an incredible source of healthy fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and provide incredible health benefits and have healing powers.
How to Make Coconut Milk
For this Homemade Coconut milk recipe you will need just 2 simple ingredients: Coconut meat from young or mature coconuts and water.
Blend your ingredients together in a high speed blender, then using a nut milk bag squeeze over a large bowl the coconut pulp to obtain the juicy milk, and Ta dah! you have homemade, natural, rich Coconut Milk! An energy and health booster, so creamy, so tasty, so delicious!. Simple and easy to make without additives or unhealthy preservatives.
You can use this homemade coconut milk to add it to your fruit smoothies, smoothie breakfast bowls, to top up your savory raw vegan dishes, nut creams or accompanied along this delicious banana nice ice cream and chocolate bites. A healthy raw vegan milk to enjoy for real!

- To crack open a hard coconut shell I use this same technique.
- To create a more white silky coconut milk scrape the brown fiber at the back of your coconut meat before blending.
- Don’t discard your coconut pulp leftovers. Place leftovers in a safe freezer bag and freeze it. It can be use as an ingredient to create raw vegan cookies, crackers, tortillas…
- Natural Coconut milk will keep well in the fridge in a glass milk jar with lid for up to a week. Shake before serving.
