I’m on Day 14 of my juice cleanse so I’m double celebrating today!, Yey!; enjoying every sip of this heavenly delicious, sweet and citrusy, earthy, heart-healthy Valentine’s drink.
Beet Carrot Orange juice is a classic juice I love. In Venezuela (where I come from) we call it “Jugo 3 en 1” because it has only 3 ingredients: Carrot, beetroot and orange juice but I super powered it and twist it a bit by adding cucumber, clementines, cara cara oranges (subs for navel or valencia oranges), lime and ginger root in a perfect combination to create a powerhouse of tasty flavours and nutrients.
It gets its sweetness and earthy flavour from carrots and beets (rich betacarotene foods!), citrusy and zesty flavour from oranges, clementines and lime, light melon taste from cucumber and a spicy kick flavour from ginger root.
I don’t get a chance to savour my crunchy–ooey gooey–raw-vegan–Valentine’s dessert today but if you are not on a juice challenge (which I am), you can totally indulge yourself and have Beet Carrot Orange Ginger juice for breakfast and then sweet crunchy chocolatey energy bites as a sweet healthy snack or dessert later in your day. Guilt free sweet Valentine’s dessert pleasures!.
